  The work has been completed, and the roof appears to be watertight for the time being. However, as mentioned by several other clients, their communication needs improvement. They arrived without prior notice and caused damage to our property. There were additional, unexpected costs exceeding the initial estimate. They are hiding behind their contract and absolving themselves of any responsibility for the damages incurred.

  Disappointed to be disappointed! It seemed like a good start, until we realized the water inside our dryer was due to pipes left disconnected during the renovations. The problems persist, and a compensation claim has been filed. I hope to be able to update this review soon! ;)

  I had my roof completely replaced on Tuesday, July 14th, and I'm beyond happy and impressed at the results! My plumber boyfriend, who deals with Émile Lelièvre, highly recommended them repeatedly, and I'm so glad I decided to work with them instead of anyone else. The boss David was extremely respectful when I had questions about the work, and put any worries I had, at ease. The workers were also extremely polite and friendly when I greeted each one during their breaks, and I really felt I was in great hands! Now, I also highly recommend Émile Lelièvre to anyone who wants their roof repaired professionally, and on time (one day!) Thank you so much to everyone at Émile Lelièvre for doing a fantastic job! 👏

  Émile Lelièvre – Recommendation I recently hired (Dec. 2025) Émile Lelièvre Roofing and Sheet Metal to replace the roof of my house in Montreal. Here are my comments on their work: First and foremost, I chose to contact this company because it was highly recommended by a neighbor knowledgeable in this type of renovation, secondly because of the positive reviews online, and finally because of the excellent reviews on CAA. Reception: Professional and friendly. My first contact was with Mr. Luc, who arrived on time, took all the time necessary to answer my many questions, and clearly explained all the work involved, the material choices, the reasons behind each step, the available options, and the costs. They were even able to start the work ahead of schedule, as my roof had just begun to leak. They quickly sent me a detailed, comprehensive, and accurate estimate for all the work, including several additions I had requested, such as a new moisture drain pipe, a new skylight, the enlargement of an access hatch, and the addition and installation of a decorative cornice. Within a week, they came to complete everything. They kept the premises clean; all the staff were kind, polite, respectful, and efficient. The work was done very well. The staff I dealt with consisted of Ms. Franca, their receptionist; Mr. Luc, their salesperson; Mr. David for the cornice; Mr. Francis for the sheet metal work; and Ms. Jacinthe for accounting. Speaking with Ms. Jacinthe, I realized that the company, even after 104 years in business, is still a family-owned business. I should have known, given their pride in a job well done. I recommend Émile Lelièvre Roofing and Sheet Metal without hesitation. I give them 5 out of 5 stars. If only all companies were this good!

  My second experience with this roofer. Discussions about the work were conducted with honesty and transparency. The team leader (JOËL) was very competent and organized. I was offered the opportunity to go up on the roof during the work to take photos, which was much appreciated. The premises were left spotless, as if nothing had happened. Even the entrances of my adjoining neighbors were left clean. Communication was easy and respectful from the very first call. Thank you.
