  Here’s a long story for you readers of reviews. . If you don’t want to read all of it i can sum it up and keep it simple. I’ll pay you not to do business with Colby. It is a fact if gutters are professionally installed the right way it should last 30 plus years. I wasn’t going to contact Colby anymore after he did the shady work back in 2014 with only 4 years of experience. Until I had a recent roof leak that had nothing to do on what Colby did. The leak was from another problem. Before the guy that fixed the leak he came back down and asked who installed your gutters? He pointed out all the flaws and sent me 12 pictures of what he seen. He said even if it is 12 years ago it shouldn’t be in this bad of shape with all the screws missing, half in never tighten to your home. He was surprised it held up this long. He said there’s no way they backed out of the holes after all this time. . The sealant should be smooth and properly applied instead of dappled with fingerprints in groves. I didn’t know what the price of new gutters were back then and the guy said I paid to much it was almost a $1000.00. I called back after a month and told Colby the front side is hanging off the home a area around 30-40 feet in length distance. Colby sent a guy to screw the pieces back but it still came undone as time went on. Finally talked to my pastor and he fixed it but just shook his head what he seen with the dips and curves in the gutter. Then later on he noticed the backside was coming off plus the down spout loose. So I had to pay his contractor to redo that section as well. I called Colby several times and when he did finally answer the phone calls I talked to him he passed the flaws down to his guys and he never took full responsibility as you see in is response below. Let me also give another way he will work around you. When everything was a go on this deal he called me at work on a sunday said he is here and going to start the work.   2014?. We have grew a tiny bit more large since then and have had many other employees since those days and also it sounds like I tried to work out issues. This is 2026 and your leaving a book for people to read from somthing you claim happened in 2014 . That is pure absurd. And a little harsh . I love to provide great customer service so I am more then happy to come by and check out what you are referring to from 2014 since it is now 2026 We do great business and stand behind all of our work and gutter warranties are 5 years on labor and typically gutters should last 15 to 20 years if kept up properly.. please make your self known and call me to see what you are even speaking about please mame or sr . . 336 486 9592 thousands of installs since 2014 . This review is bogus Please be professional and call me since you are referring to somthing in 2014 with a old crew I may have been training that is if you even are writing about the correct company . It is now 2026 and gutters take upkeep cleaning and checking from time to time . Please call me so we can resolve this weird review on my account if this is truly not a spam bot or scam . Or bashing . I would love some help to make sense of this . Thank you so much

  Not good. Tried and tried to get him to do work. Gave me a quote and then never showed up again. Called and called. Missed appointments and missed expectations. A lot of excuses. Ended up spending 33k with someone else to do the work. Wasted my time and energy. Seemed like a real nice guy tho.

  Ryan . I have to say this review is catching us by surprise this is pretty un called for with numerous trips. Prices and work for you wasting our time only if insurance was going to pay out. You kept changing your mind and didn't want to spend the funds . Now you randomly get on here and give us a false review . I'm fixing to text your phone as well . We need to fix this . Because we have only tried and tried to help you .

  Update 9/1/2022 The roof is still leaking in the same two places. At this point we have resigned ourselves to a loss of thousands of dollars. This home was my mother's dream home out in the country, it was supposed to be a peaceful spot to live out the rest of her life. This brand new roof has turned her dream into a nightmare. Update: Colby has contacted us and sent someone out to repair the roof. He has been much easier to contact and has contacted us after the repair to explain to us what repair the person he sent out did. We are waiting for a good rain to see if the roof still leaks and will update this post and rating again afterward. My Mother hired Colby to put a new metal roof on a home she was redoing. He sent 2 men out to replace the roof, they took twice as long as promised and the roof has leaked every year since. It is almost impossible to get anyone on the phone in the office. When we did speak to Crystal she said Colby would call us back and we never heard anything. We did finally get them out to repair the leak a couple of years ago and another appointment for them to come out to repair it again this year but they didn't show up. Their excuse was that they had lost a full months worth of appointments on their calendar. After more calls they did send one man out to look at the roof again months ago, he told us we could not hire another company to fix the roof or the warranty would be voided, we haven't heard anything since. We still can not get them to return calls after leaving messages. If you read the reviews this is a normal thing for this company, also check the BBB. Now, after a 4 year wait, we are stuck paying another company the same amount to fix it correctly before we can continue the work on the house.

  Colby scheduled a quote from a range of 9AM to 12PM. They never showed up, I called at 1:00 PM to cancel the appointment. They called at 1:30 and stated they are on there way, but had to stop in another town which was 20 miles away. Bad enough they could not commit to a specific time, but gave me this huge range and missed it regardless. They need to understand and respect people's time and time people have to take away from work to meet an appointment. RESPONSE TO OWNER AFTER HIS REPLY: Mr Colby, I respect your response. It was professional and courteous. I have had 3 x other contractors and bids on the job, each of which showed up 5 minutes early to set time that was scheduled. Joey was the one who took and scheduled the call. I do not have my phone with me today at work. But please have someone reach out to me tonight after 5:00 PM and we can schedule an appointment. I am not interested in a time range, but a specific time. Thank you in advance.

I hope there is some way or somehow . Terribly sorry i always want everyone to be happy with us . What can i do to fix this Can i discont your quote or do anything to show my commitment . They even explain that to me when they got back to the office that evening. We were 30 minutes late and we did call you to inform you. It is hard to pinpoint an exact time when we are dealing with customers and doing estimates. You need to understand that part to sir just like if we were talking to you no matter how long it took we would stay there with you Even if we had to call our next appointment until them we were a few minutes behind

  Im writing to share my entire experience from beginning to end. I contacted Colby’s for a estimate quote for an entire roof. The sales rep was newer, but very friendly. My fiancé told him about the damages we needed repaired, a skylight removed, and wanted a total roof replacement. They gave us a price of $7200. We also got a quote for $1350 for gutters. His price was higher than two others we had gotten, but we went with them based on reviews on Facebook. We got the roof scheduled quickly, which I was thankful for. However, I did have to stay on top messaging to get details of timeframes etc. The roofers came out on a Friday to start the job. About mid-day I asked my dad to stop by to check the work and let me know how it was going. My dad stated that they were doing no repairs, that they removed the old shingles and were just laying new ones on top. I tried calling Colby went to voicemail, so I contacted Crystal in the office. She is very friendly and let me know Colby would contact me. My dad told the roofers of the repairs and they left to go get lumber. I had to leave work early because I was not sure of the work being done. I went home and spoke with the foreman, about repairs. He knew nothing. So they re-take off the tar paper and started repairs. They didnt not bring enough material (they had two sheets of plywood and a few boards). They continued to work and put the rotten wood in a pile behind my home. As the sun started to set, they started putting paper down around the skylight instead of working to remove it. I asked the foreman if he was taking out, he told me he didnt know. They had to contact Colby again, at that point I asked Colby to call me. He tried sweet talking me about his warranty, his work, and so on. I was angry, but let it go. They didnt not finish Friday so they said they would be out on Saturday at 8am. No one came till 9. They finished the yard and halfway cleaned up. They left a huge pile of trash in my driveway and said someone would

  Amanda . We got you insurance money and more then the roof costed . We replace a huge load of lumper . Way past what we were sopost to . You were priced to re sheet the entire decking . You CHOOSE NOT TO . We did a outstanding job for you guys and worked with the budget you allowed us . I personally got out 24 hours later to inspect even did more work to make you happy. You had options and you chose us and we did every single thing we said . It seems you are just going to have a problem with something no matter what. And ofcourse your roof is going to last. Why do you think we give such a big warranty . You need to rethink this horrible rating you are giving me

  unprofessional. Will make appointments and not show up. Basically if you’re residential not spending $10k+ They will not come see you. Talks a good game but that’s all it is. Talk. Won’t return calls either. Like dealing with crackheads.

  Colby came over to discuss the work I wanted (roof, gutters, windows, siding) and seemed very nice and promising but I never heard from him again. I went with someone else for the work because I couldn’t get an estimate from Colby. This unfortunately seems like a pattern. :(

You also said 4 months or more on the phone . It really took less then 30 days for your amazing looking REMODELING from start to finish less then 30 days

  Had a great experience with Colby!! Replied to texts quickly and efficiently. He had the best prices AND had my roof repaired and replaced in 1 day!!! I would recommend Colby’s home repairs to everyone!!

  Colby and his crew are very easy to work with. I had been quoted $950 for a roof shingle repair (have lifetime shingles ) by another company, who kept postponing "fixing it" and thank goodness, I called Colby and he said it was not needed....it was just the flashing that needed to be replaced, which he did and very reasonable. I later had storm water problem from neighbor who kept diverting his water to my property. It flooded my basement, causing much damage, ruined my 76 oz. Mohawk lifetime carpet (water damage came in thru my basement windows) and had to tear all out and replace with porcelain tile. Colby installed pvc drain pipes underground from my gutters to control water to go directly into storm drain. They did a fantastic job. I could not recommend them any higher! They are the best.
