  I contacted Charleston roofing and exteriors about two weeks ago and scheduled and estimate. They told me a day and time and I came home from work to meet them. After four phone calls back and forth saying they were on there way they never showed up. The next day at a random time in the middle of the day someone showed up unannounced. They took the pictures and said they would have an estimate to me that day or the next. A week later I call and the rep doesn't answer. I then proceed to call there main line and talk to someone who says they will have another person call me back. No call back. Extremely unprofessional business and I would not recommend using unless you want to waste your time.

  Home owner beware! We hired these guys to replace our roof. They came out and did the inspection of both our house and detached garage. The quote we received was vague and so we called to verify that it included the house, detached garage, and permit - we were told yes. The crew came the following week and did the house within a morning when we were not home, but the detached garage was not re-roofed. When we called to ask why the garage wasn’t done we were told that it was not included. Subsequent calls and emails we received would say it was and wasn’t included, and that they would make it right since it was a misunderstanding on their end. However, after a few days were they told us it would be an additional cost, including varying amounts depending on who we talked to between $900 - $1500. Charleston Roofing continued to go on about how they would have to replace plywood, and have a safety man on the ground, plus send a crew back out and that’s why it would be an additional cost. After much deliberation we agreed to pay an additional cost to have the garage done. The garage was pulled off and dried-in before 8:00am with no safety man or plywood being replaced. The plywood and “safety man” (with toddler) didn’t show up until after 10:30am. The safety man dropped off the shingles and left. The crew shingled the roof and left. Needless to say they had to come back and replace parts of the roof as the plywood was rotten all the way through and fell apart with just a touch. Additionally we had to continually ask to have the permit submitted as they had not done this until a few months after the work was completed. Here’s hoping nothing else happens to the roof.

  Before the sale they were great to work with. After we paid them they were the worst company to deal with. Extremly hard to get in touch with our rep Nick. Many calls would be made to them before one was returned. I can't say how good the work is as this was done to our rental home that was sold. However, I would not do business with them again.

  We were told our roof would be finished in one day. The company cleaned up and left. The next morning I went out and part of the roof was not done. I called and got the answering machine so I called the lady that had been the contact for the purchase of the services. I got a call back telling me that they had run out of shingles but that the crew had been at the business when it opened, had gotten the Schindler’s and were on their way to finish the project. This was at 8:00 am. I asked why I had not been informed that they were not able to complete the job before they left .I was told that they had knocked on the door and rang the doorbell. The bell is in the main part of the house and there is no way to miss it because it is so loud. I had some meetings so I went ahead to work. I got home a little after noon and no one had been to the house. I had gotten the site supervisor’s number so I called him to find out what was going on. The told me he didn’t know but would call me back. I also asked him why I wasn’t told the job had not been finished. He told me that he had tried to call me and no one answered. I asked him what number he had for me as I have an answering system that answers when ever I am unavailable because of the nature of my job people need to be able to reach me, He did not have the right number. He called back and told me that the crew trailer had blown a tire and that they would be on the way after they came by to pick up the shingles. It was almost .5:00pm before they arrived that afternoon. The contract said that if any sheeting had to be replaced the first 4 were free and you have to pay for each sheet after that. I had been out talking to the site supervisor on the first afternoon of the job. He had not said anything about extra sheeting needing to be replaced. I was told this morning that 12 pieces of sheeting had to be replaced. Why was I not told about this the afternoon they had finished pulling all of the old roofing. No one can

  Honestly, I don’t write many reviews, but I was really impressed. They replaced my old shingles and cleaned up every bit of debris. You could barely tell anyone had worked here, except the roof looks amazing now.

  Our roof got hit hard after that last big storm. I called around, and this was the only roofing company that actually showed up when they said they would. They patched things up fast and didn’t leave a mess behind.

  I was nervous about needing a full roof replacement, but these folks made it so easy. They walked me through everything, showed me photos of the damage, and the price was fair. My house looks brand new now.

  Had a small leak in my roof that was driving me crazy. Called this roofing company and they came out the next morning. Super friendly guys, fixed it quick, and didn’t try to sell me anything extra.

  Tommy was respectful, informative and so helpful! He gave us an inspection to make sure everything was ok after a storm and showed me pictures and went into the roof. Very pleased! We had our roof done with Charleston Roofs and Windows 6 years ago and have been happy! Thank you so much!
