  We completely understand your frustration with this matter however, C&K Services and/or shingle manufactures cannot be held responsible for ice damming since it is not a manufacturing defect or workmanship warranty. Our suggestion is to remove the ice built up at the roof edge so the melting snow (water) above it does not continue to back up into the home. The University of Minnesota Extension has a very good article regarding ice dams called “Dealing with and preventing ice dams”.   Hi Betty. We are assuming this review is regarding the work done in 2018. At the initial estimate and viewing of the chimney, there was no way for us to know that the entire sub structure was completely rotted away. After removing all the existing materials we realized we essentially needed to rebuild the entire chimney chase from the ground up in order for it to be structurally sound and for the new materials to be secured properly. This additional work added significant time and materials. The fact of the matter is, we could not just close it back up with new materials without performing the additional work. We understand the frustration you have with the extra cost that was associated with your project. We also acknowledge that this was not an ideal situation for you since you had just purchased the house. Having said this, we still stand behind all the work we did because it needed to be done. If you have any further issues in the area work was performed, please feel free to reach out to us. Lastly, if you did a review in the past and it is not showing up, please know we do not have the ability to remove any reviews. Only the person who writes a review can rescind it.

  Hi Laura, We have the roof and gutter replacement on record as being done and invoiced on 8/14/2014 with the contract stating a standard two year workmanship warranty on the gutters. We apologize for not being able to get to your job in November of 2017, but we value all of our customers and thought it would be unfair to push others back in the schedule. When we came out in early December of 2017, we were confident that the sealants would hold because they are rated to be applied in temps as low as 0 degrees. Unfortunately, that was not the case in this instance. We did later come out and install a completely new gutter system (see time frame below), along with a new additional downspout at no charge even though we were outside of the warranty window. Regarding the time frame and us not coming out on 5/18/18, one of our representatives came out on the 17th to do a final assessment. At that time, he determined it would be better to do a full gutter replacement instead of just a repair. In order to do the full replacement, we needed a full gutter crew to do the job instead of just one repairman. We acknowledge this was a change in the 11th hour but thought this was a better option than just a repair. In our customer database we do have a note that a message was left on the 17th letting you know of the change and that we would not be there on the 18th. We are very sorry if there was confusion and that things dragged on longer than we all would have liked.

  Hired to repair roof gutter issues. Never fixed the problem. Called numerous times asking them to return and fix problem but never returned. Empty promises and lots of excuses. Do not recommend.

  The only good thing I can say is the receptionist was very nice. We called for a quote on our roof because of hail damage and had a few other issues we needed repaired. Logan came to review our roof within a few days of our call. That is where the good service ended. He promised us a quote within a few days. A week later I called back. Logan stated he was not sure what happened but he would send me a quote by the next day. A week later still no quote. Another call and I received the same statement. 2 weeks later no word from them. We have since signed with the other company we called. Our project will be complete within a few weeks. Not sure why they didn't want the work. If I could they would get a lower rating than 1 star for being dishonest to us and lying about it.

  C&K did an exceptional job taking care of my shed in the backyard of my home. Tear off of the old (over 30years old) and installing a new roof. They also repaired the roof on my home which had a leak in the kitchen area. Thanks to everyone at C&K Services of Newburg for all your work

  C&K did great work. We live in a 1920s tutor style house and some of them molding was starting to rot. They repaired it along with some other things, and it looks like nothing was ever done. I will only use C&K. To be honest, they are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and I feel like that you’re the best!

  The C& K Services staff has been very thorough with their bid, offering suggestions with roofing option/colors and all questions answered. I was very pleased with the roof when completed. The yard was cleaned up and my flowers and shrubs were not damaged. When calling the office, my call was returned promptly. Thank you

  Had a new roof and gutters installed. Very pleased with the price, quality of work, and time to completion once the work was started. Roof team stripped 2 layers of shingles and installed the new roof in 1 day. Outstanding! Gutter team installed new gutters with leaf guards in less than a day. C&K responded to inquiries quickly and their service was excellent.

  We had C & K Services replace our roof, skylights, soffit vents and gutters in July 2026. They did a fantastic job. Finish product looks great. We had no problems. I highly recommend them. I interviewed six contractors and did my homework and we selected C & K.

  Quote was reasonable. The whole process to replace the roof and gutters was 1.5 days. They were very responsive to questions before and during the project. Only downside was that it took over 3 months from when we paid the deposit to when they were able to get to us.

  C and K services repair the aluminum siding on my home. I’ve used there services in the past, because they do exceptionally good work. They provide a service that seems to have disappeared. They stay in contact with the customer until completion. They do outstanding work.
