Erin, I left your husband Neal a voicemail earlier today regarding this review. You have left a negative review about my company because a different company did bad work for you nearly 2 years ago. We actually just tried to fix their work, and a 2 star review severely affects our Google rating which could affect our 30 employees and how we feed our families. If you feel that your management company or the prior contractor didn't do a good job, and Josh did from Arnold Roofing and Restoration why are we the company that gets a negative 2 star review? We are more than willing to fix whatever you want that the previous contractor did incorrectly. However, our instructions from the HOA and management company were to stop any possible water intrusions and that is what we have done. We can rebuild your entire unit from the ground up and do great work. But, this review is absolutely an unwarranted representation of the work performed by Josh and Arnold Roofing and Restoration. Our reviews are flawless, and this review really hurts our credibility and that isn't fair about Arnold Roofing's services. Respectfully, Brian Arnold

Hi. I'm sorry to see this message. However, I don't see your first and last name to address the situation properly and remedy it. Due to the hurricane affecting tens of thousands of people we are much busier than normal. As such, last week, I did bring on a 3rd party estimating firm to help alleviate the log jam with our estimating procedures. Our normal workload required 20 to 30 estimates per week. With Helene's devastation, we are triple that. I have been reactive instead of proactive, but we simply didn't know the extent of the damage the first week after the hurricane and how wide spread it really was. So, our processes are now catching up to demand as I take the blame for not having the foresight to know that a hurricane could do this type of damage this far from inland from the coastal areas. I can promise you that we are now getting more streamlined to complete our tasks after hiring this 3rd party, but it is playing a game of catch up. Many of our customers receive the estimates from the insurqmce provider. However, many others the insurance company is requesting us to complete their estimates for them as they too are overwhelmed with this hurricane. If you can please email me at brian@arnoldroofs.com, I can address your situation to get it rectified as soon as humanly possible. We are not perfect. That I assure you. But, we are doing everything possible to help with this hurricane. I have increased our employee count exponentially in the last 2 weeks to help as well. Again, nobody in restoration or roofing expected a hurricane to happen a thousand miles away from any coastline. So, please let us rectify your particular claim by providing me an email with your information so I can rectify it. I can't if I don't know who you are from this review. And again, I personally apologize for my company not meeting or exceeding your expectations thus far. But, let me have the opportunity to fix it. We are people too, and for the first week aft

I have NEVER had a more unpleasant experience in dealing with any company in any fashion. I have tried since September to get Arnold's roofing and restoration to come out and repair a leak in my roof.( it is now march) Everytime something was done, they would drag their feet to complete the next step of the process. They would tell me that i would hear something back in a day or two and i would end up having to call them for an update a week or two later. There was always an excuse as to why something wasnt getting done. "I typed out a text to you but it never sent" " my grandma was sick" " that guy doesnt work here anymore" ...they assign a new person to my claim, he finally makes it out and spends 30 minutes trying to convince me that it would be "better" for me to get someone i know to do the work. (I dont know anyone that can do this work, hence the insurance claim) The lady at the front refuses to let me speak to a supervisor or manager. Im so over it. So i will be starting from scratch with a new company. Thanks for nothing. Cont. Wow, a response. I wouldnt lean too much on his wreck, doesnt look too good. Thats a seriouse matter and all hopes and prayers to him. But my issues have not been with him. I said to the newest guy he can go in the attic i just have to grab the cat out of the garage real quick and he said nah i dont need to go up there anyways. ( i had cleaned out my garage prior and had clean thorough access) *again with the excuses. And we were not waiting for attic access, he said when he left that he would get me a quote for the squre of shingles he would need. I gave ample amount of time for your company to make it right (about 5 months) and all you ended up doing is trying to convince me to get someone else to do it.....so i do and now your upset. Im glad that im the only person on the planet with a bad experience with your company. But i do believe that it's important to share good and bad experiences. that's w

Hi John, We asked for access to your attic in order to properly quote the small repair job. The person that was originally assigned to your claim, unfortunately, was hit head on by an uninsured driver two days after he met with you and broke several ribs and had severe injuries. During that time, we did our best to reassign his jobs because he has been in and out of the hospital and the rehabilitation center to try to get healed. Jack, was the representative that was assigned to take over your particular small repair. He asked for access to the attic, which I am told was not granted and you stated that you were hiring a different contractor. Please note, that we are NOT perfect in any way. However, we do our best, and it was not our fault that someone nearly fatally injured the original worker that was assigned to your claim. I am the owner of the company, and this is only the second negative review that isn't SPAM related that we have ever received. So, clearly, your perception of our company is quite different than the masses of our customers. I do sincerely apologize that we did not complete the job in a satisfactory timeline while dealing with thousands of claims in which some people's homes were so damaged that they had to live in hotels while we did their massive renovations. Sometimes, a few small leaks may have fallen through the cracks while we dealt with trying to get people's homes rebuilt (and continue to do so) from Hurricane Helene. Again, I apologize that this was not an optimal experience with my company. Reviews like this can kill a small business like mine, but if you feel that we deserve it, then so be it. However, remember your original rep did almost die in a car wreck right after he met with you and still hasn't been able to work since and is still in and out of the hospital under their care. Respectfully, Brian Arnold

Hi Bryan, I'm sorry that we did not exceed your expectations. While we have done well over a thousand roofs this year and have not had a single real customer give us a negative review, this is our first. While I wish we could please every customer, fact of the matter is, that's not possible. Some people just aren't people that are able to be pleased, and that is why all of the reviews on your Google profile, including Starbucks, are nearly all 1 or 2 star reviews. Please remember this, there are several companies that are local to Greenville that have stolen money and not actually put on roofs. There are also companies that do shoddy work and don't warrant their work after the work is completed. You will have none of those issues because we do stand behind our work. Again, I'm sorry my company did not live up to your expectations, but in general, we do a great job for our customers. You did accost several of my staff members during this process, and we were aware that you were someone that we clearly weren't able to please. I wish you the best in your endeavors, and rest assured, you have a fully warranted roof that was installed by a certified crew. Respectfully, Brian Arnold

Good morning Nicole. I was surprised to see a negative review come into my family owned business at midnight on a Friday night. I have gone through our entire CRM and previous customer databases and I could not find you as a past customer, current customer, or prospective customer at any time. I also asked everyone that works for my organization and nobody had heard of your name before as a prospective client either. It seems that you have a new Google Profile and have used it to only post 2 reviews. While I'm not stating you work for a competitor or somehow are trying to influence people to not use my firm for personal reasons, I find it questionable that we don't have you in any of our software systems as even a prospective customer. If you are a past/current customer or a potential customer of Arnold Roofing and Restoration based out of Simpsonville (there is another Arnold Roofing in Spartanburg) then I would really like it if you could email me directly at brian@arnoldroofs.com or call me at 614.561.9299 so I can fix whatever situation that has made you feel that we did not live up to your expectations. If you are a competitor or a friend of a competitor and have chosen to use this avenue to disparage my firm, I get why people do that. However, please remember that this company does work hard for our customers. This is how I feed my family and two kids. Dennis helps run my firm that helps feed his 2 children. Lee that works here feeds his 2 children. Michael feeds his 4 children. Michelle, her 2 children...etc. The fact that you would come onto our business profile and post a false review of our services, which is what I believe is the case here, can adversely effect my company and our livelihoods. We take customer satisfaction very seriously at Arnold Roofing and Restoration, and if you really have experienced anything that was negative about my firm, I have given you my contact information on here to rectify this situation immediately. From the very first visit, Caleb Lipthratt was the difference maker. Our roof is large and complex, and Caleb took the time to truly understand it — he came out multiple times just to make sure the quote was right. We had an active leak at the time, and rather than just leaving us to wait, he suggested potential fixes and came out on two separate occasions to install a temporary fix that held until the full replacement could be done. His attention to detail during the install was extraordinary. Caleb was on site all four days of the job, from 6 AM to 7 PM, checking and double-checking the work every step of the way. His work ethic is relentless — it was genuinely impressive to watch. A new roof isn't cheap, but watching Caleb's dedication and attention to detail made it clear we got real value for our money. I would absolutely recommend Arnold Roofing and Caleb Lipthratt without hesitation!

Hi Eric, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review about Caleb's great work. We appreciate you choosing Arnold Roofing and Restoration for your project. I know I stopped by and met with your wife while the project was going on and it looked like they were doing a great job. She replicated your sentiments about Caleb as well. I had a great experience working with Juan at Arnold Roofing. We had a complicated water intrusion issue, and Juan was incredibly kind, responsive, knowledgeable, and thorough throughout the process. He took the time to explain what he was seeing, answer all of my questions, and genuinely seemed more focused on making sure the problem was properly resolved than simply making a sale. I really appreciated his honesty and professionalism, and I would absolutely recommend Juan and Arnold Roofing to anyone looking for a roofer.

As a Realtor, having trusted professionals to recommend to my clients is incredibly important, and Juan Serna with Arnold Roofing has been an outstanding resource. His roof inspections are thorough, honest, and never alarmist. He takes the time to clearly explain his findings, communicates promptly, and provides straightforward feedback that help my clients make informed decisions. Beyond his expertise, Juan is personable, professional, and genuinely cares about doing what’s right. It’s refreshing to work with someone who values honesty and integrity as much as great customer service. I highly recommend Juan Serna and Arnold Roofing to anyone in need of a reliable roof inspection or roofing advice.

Over the last few years we have taken all of our customer feedback to help deliver a no pressure and more informative approach to roofing versus just a hard sell insurance claim or financing push that many other companies are doing. We want to be people's choice for their roofing needs by being consultative vs salesy. I hope that you enjoy this approach and the experience with Arnold Roofing and Restoration. Residential Roof Tear Off and Shingle Replacement There are roof projects where covering over the old problem is not the right move. When a roof has several slopes, dormers, chimneys, valleys, and connecting sections, a full tear-off gives the crew a chance to see what is really happening underneath. Old shingles can hide soft decking, worn underlayment, weak flashing, or moisture paths that repairs may not fully solve. Starting from a clean surface helps the new roof system go back together with better protection at the areas that matter most. Arnold Roofing and Restoration handles Residential Roof Tear-Off and Shingle Replacement with an organized process built for detailed residential roofs. We remove old materials, inspect the decking, address damaged areas, install proper underlayment, and pay close attention to valleys, roof edges, chimneys, vents, ridges, and water flow. On larger homes, clean staging and jobsite awareness matter because landscaping, driveways, walkways, and outdoor areas still need to be respected while the work is underway. A complete shingle replacement can help stop recurring leak issues, improve drainage, and give the home a stronger roof system without relying on patchwork. If your roof has storm wear, age related damage, or repeated trouble spots, contact Arnold Roofing and Restoration to schedule an inspection and talk through the best path forward.2 days agoCall now
