  I hired Dan Appleton in 2021 to replace my roof. Unfortunately, the work was substandard: every year there is ice damming, there were insufficient gap stops, and I have spent thousands of dollars annually on repairs. Tenants have also reported leaks. This was a steel roof installed in summer 2021, and it should not be experiencing these issues in less than two years. Another company has quoted $13,000 to repair Dans work. This quote was provided to Dan's legal team Dan advertised a 10 year warranty on his website, yet when I raised these issues, his responses were unprofessional. He dodged calls, dismissed my concerns, and at one point, his wife attempted to press harassment charges against me. An unsuccessful attempt to dodge his responsibility as they were dropped by the judge, confirming I was simply a client seeking to have my roof fixed. His initial reaction to my first negative review was to attempt an unsuccessful defamation lawsuit. Everything in my review is truthful and based on my experience. When challenged, Dan becomes confrontational and has a history of pursuing legal action against customers who raise legitimate complaints. I am requesting that Dan: Stand behind his advertised lifetime warranty. Take responsibility for the substandard workmanship. Cover the $13,000 repair costs so I can resolve this matter. It is time to own mistakes and fulfill the commitments made to customers. Does not honor his warranty

  Dan Appleton of Appleton Steel Roofing has done 2 steel roofs for us. In 2021 he replaced our roof in Collingwood and we were extremely happy with the end result. We then moved to Creemore and didn’t hesitate to call Dan when we wanted to replace our roof here. Dan is very knowledgeable and professional and his work is excellent. Both times the jobs were completed in a very timely manner and the quoted price was very reasonable. I would recommend Appleton Steel Roofing to anyone, without hesitation. Thanks Dan!

  Dan installed my steel roof in 2020. Professionally done, looks great, very easy to deal with. When one of the ice dams was damaged due to heavy snow load after the first winter, Dan came back and replaced it. Would highly recommend.

  Very pleased with the workmanship. We have two large gables on the front and the steel roofing, being cut by hand are straight and true. Anyone can put on a steel roof, but not everyone can cut steel across the sheets on an angle and make it look like a factory cut. Job well do.
