To people working on roof at 70 railway st kingston. On 27 may 2026 in morning 9:00 am If they should be working instead of laughing at people doing their jobs around. The job would be completed quickly. Its not a TV show you are watching from roof.

To keep it brief the company should be investigated for safety violations considering they work without proper safety equipment and don’t follow health and safety procedures

I called twice for a flat roof and never heard back either time about quoting a flat roof project even though they promised they would be out to look at the job, no show, no response means someone else got the job.

AVOID THIS COMPANY Called 3 or 4 companies for an emergency repair. Amherst Roofing was the first to respond so we went ahead. Rate was $85/hour for 2 men (total of $170 + taxes per hour). Our bill was for almost $10,000, of which $2500 was for materials. I called to complain and the owner explained that I was paying for the workers to drive to get materials. That's almost $200 per hour (with taxes) for 2 guys to run back and forth for materials. To be reasonable, let's assume that 2 men worked 6 hours per day on site for 4 days = 48 hours. (They did not work that many hours...We were home. The first day, two men were here for about 2-1/2 hours, then left for materials and didn't return that day. The same sort of thing happened the 2nd day... two men for a few hours than gone.) There was no breakdown of costs whatsoever on the bill...nothing to say how many hours were spent on site; no description of the work done; no list of materials. To be reasonable, let's assume that 2 men worked 6 hours per day on site for 4 days = 48 hours. The bill was for 76 hours. That means that they charged for 2 men for 9-1/2 hours per day for 4 days. Now I recently called them back because the problem was not 100% resolved. They arrived, looked up and agreed there was something not quite right. Let's say that visit lasted 30 minutes. Today I received a bill for almost $400 for that visit. So let's get this straight... they want $400 to visit and confirm that something is still not right. They want to do the repair in the spring. Well that's not going to happen.

Where this page comes from

Every figure above is Google’s, captured on 24 September 2026. The star average and the 16 ratings behind it are counted by Google across all of its reviews. The review text on this page is a sample — we hold 16, of which 8 have any text — and it is not everything Google shows.

Roof Warden does not verify licenses, bonds, insurance or workers’ compensation cover, and nothing on this page should be read as though we had. Confirm those directly with the contractor and with your state or provincial licensing body before you hire anyone.
