I'm beginning to believe they pay people to leave a good review...one of the worse companies in town. I have pictures of the work they did reach out if you want to see the "great" job they did...nothing about this company is worth the risk very unprofessional and they left before the work was done...you should definitely find a better company for all your repair needs...one star was way to high of a rating...

We trusted them and ended up in court, they took all our insurance.oneyhalf way thru they said we owed more money now they are trying to take our homewe e been in for 13 years over $7500 dlors

    Reply from the business

Yes, we completed everything on the insurance claim and were due all insurance proceeds, deductible and full replacement cost value. The Wolff's policy had a clause that would not pay the depreciation for a roof over 10 years old so insurance did not pay the depreciation on the roof. We met with the Wolff's and offered to finance the balance for them with no additional interest or cost to them. They never paid a dollar more and never contacted us again. We took the only action available to us to collect the balance owed and filed a lien against the property. Now 6 years later, we again offered 90 more days to settle the debt and again there was no effort made by them. So we will proceed with foreclosure.

We had ACR replace our roof before we moved into our house about 3 years ago. I suppose it went fine as far as the roof went, but afterwards, we found literally hundreds of nails in our yard. That is not an exaggeration. We paid a friend's sons 10¢ a nail to pick them up, and we paid them around $12. And this after my husband took a high powered magnet around the house. Also, when we got a different roofing company to replace our roof after the hail storm last April, they found issues with the way the roof had been put on. Something was done incorrectly, allowing water to pool near the edge of the roof. Overall, we were not pleased, and I am only now writing this review because I just finished reviewing our second roofing company, and that reminded me to finally take care of this.

    Reply from the business

We are sorry to hear of this experience. Unfortunately it is impossible to pick up all the nails at the site of a roof replacement. Many factors can also add to the difficulty. In any case we normally run our magnets over the yard multiple times, as well as the crew during their clean up. I can not comment on the findings of the new company, but we do install all roofs according to manufacturer specs.

I usually don't write reviews, but this time I felt compelled to do so. Four years ago, I hired America's Choice Roofing to put a new roof on my home. It wasn't an insurance claim, the house just needed a new roof. My experience with ACR at that time went very well. There was great communication, the work was good and the follow-up was courteous and timely. The recent hail storm damaged my four year-old roof and my insurance company determined it needed to be replaced. Based on my past experience with ACR, I decided to use them again. In addition to the roof, they were to replace my skylight, flue cap, gutters, downspouts and also re-roof my shed. This time the experience was not so great. It actually seemed more like what you would get from one of the pop-up roofing companies that appear after a bad hail storm. Communication was great on the way up to the install date. On that day, ACR showed up and began working on the roof. They re-roofed the house and the shed, then packed up and left. Went I went outside there was a huge mess. Asphalt and roofing nails all over the place and pieces of my gutters were left just laying on the ground. Part of the metal covering along the roof edge was bent outward like some tried to pull it off and then just left it. It has since come loose and is now just hanging from the roof. No one followed up with me after they were done and I had to call the salesman the next day and ask what was going on and when they were going to finish the job. I was told they were behind and would get to it in "a couple of weeks." In the next couple of weeks I received zero communication from ACR. No one came to inspect the roofing work and make sure everything was done properly, no one called to update me on the gutters. Then, I get a phone call at 8:30 p.m. from the salesman wanting me to pay ACR. As you can imagine, by this time I am very upset and disillusioned with the whole ordeal, so the phone call did not go well. I stated that I would pay them

Good afternoon Mr. Wright. Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you being a repeat customer. We apologize for the way you feel you have been treated during this process on this go around. Unfortunately, the office had not been made aware of these circumstances until now. If our office had been notified, we could have ensured these issues (such as the debris and problem areas) been taken care of ASAP. Per our contract, we were suppose to collect both your first check and deductible at the start of your roofing project, which did not happen. Per Randy, your Roofing Specialist, he called you that evening to try and collect since he had not been able to catch you during roof installation. Per your claim, gutters were to be taken down and replaced, which is why gutters were in your yard and waiting pick up to be trashed. As I'm sure you can imagine, we have been very busy, both with roofing, gutters, etc. As you mentioned, you have multiple items on your claim as do all of our customers, and we are doing our best to handle all of them in a timely fashion. Gutters for example, is an trade that we happen to be a month out on, which is why Randy called and told you if you were needing them done quicker than that it might be best to find someone else and we would be happy to cut that from our contract and final bill. We, along with everyone else, are also having a hard time getting in material. This also causes more delay. We always encourage our customers to call our office so that any problems can be noted and then given directly to administration if the salesman has failed to execute the problem in a timely manner. Again, we were never made aware of the situation, and therefore could not do anything to fix it, until now. We have tried to call you today and were not able to get ahold of you. Please contact our office at 979-776-5292 and we will get you taken care of regarding any issues that are still present. We have already had a discussion with Randy and our Owner

Be very careful with this company. They advertise they hand nail every nail but if you own a older home and don't want to spend extra money on new decking they use a air gun instead. They leave big gaps between any vent pipes you have on the roof and the shingles. We have used them twice and both times I had to go behind them and caulk around the pipes to stop leaks. If you do use them make sure you are home when they finish and inspect the work if possible. Won't be using them this time after the last storm.

Mr. Canatella, I do not find your name anywhere in my sales history. I sure would like to know more information. Please call our office at 979-776-5292.

Ms. Boykin, We were called about a year ago to address a leak over the front door of your parents home. Our Owner personally went out to take a look and found that this leak was due to a "high nail". High nails are due to movement and shifting of the home, typically due to foundation issues. The nail will work its way up and push through the shingle. Standard procedure for this issue, is to pull that nail, seal the hole (with roofing caulk, not glue), apply a new nail, and seal the shingle back with the caulk. We explained that this is a common occurrence, due to movement, and is not covered under warranty, as the contract states. However, we fixed this issue at no charge and then clarified the warranty. We have received no other calls on their home until we received a nasty email on Saturday, September 29, 2018 via our website. We responded by phone the next business day, Monday, October 1, 2018 and offered to come out and take a look at any existing issues, even though Mrs. Boykin informed our owner that another roofing company had come out and worked on the roof. Therefore this alone voided their warranty. We heard no other response until this posting. Every America's Choice Roof is installed according to Manufacture Specifications and is inspected following installation. This roof and any other roof at this age, should never need to be replaced. We hope your parents are not being taken advantage of. Sincerely, America's Choice Roofing Management Team

Carlos and his team delivered an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish—professional, punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented. He took the time to clearly explain the scope of work, provided a fair and transparent estimate, and followed through exactly as promised. The quality of the roofing work exceeded my expectations, and the cleanup afterward was just as impressive—it was like they were never there. What really stood out was Carlos’s integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction; he checked in throughout the process and made sure everything was perfect before wrapping up. If you’re looking for a roofer you can truly trust, I can’t recommend Carlos highly enough.

I’ve used America’s Choice Roofing on another property and they did a fantastic job. So when we got hail damage on our home, there was only one company to call. Gary came out and did a full inspection and walked me through the claim process. His crew was here at 7:00 Monday and finished the job in 2 days. They did a great job cleaning up after the job as well. I will defense them again when needed.

They do exactly what they quote and more. They had to repair a small amount of decking. Which is due to issues with old roof but they didn't have to be told to do it right. They did a great job. Thank you Hanna and crew.

America’s Choice owned by Gary and Frances Spivey was recommended to me by a Realtor friend in College Station after a massive hail storm damaged the roof of a property we own in College Station. From the moment I called Gary he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. This was very important because we no longer live in CS. Gary and Frances were so helpful providing all the paperwork and pictures I needed to file w Allstate Insurance. The roof was replaced by Gary in record time. Allstate Ins was extremely professional and timely. My experience w America’s Choice was flawless. They were professional, knowledgeable and so prompt. I highly recommend. Asphalt Shingle Roofing for Large Residential Rooflines Large homes ask more from a roof because there are more angles, more drainage paths, and more places where water can slow down if the system is not planned correctly. Valleys, hips, ridges, skylights, vents, chimneys, and long shingle runs all need to line up as one complete roof, not separate sections. When the roof layout is this detailed, the work has to stay clean and consistent from edge to edge so the home is protected through rain, heat, wind, and daily exposure. America's Choice Roofing & Seamless Gutters provides Residential Asphalt Shingle Roofing for Large Homes with careful attention to layout, water flow, and installation details. We look at how each slope connects, where runoff collects, how flashing is handled, and whether ventilation and roof penetrations are properly addressed. On larger properties, a roofing project also needs clear planning around access, landscaping, pool areas, walkways, and cleanup. A well installed asphalt shingle roof can help reduce leak concerns, improve drainage, and give the entire home a clean, unified exterior. For homeowners dealing with aging shingles, storm wear, or a roof that needs a more dependable system, we provide honest guidance and a practical plan.
