What claiming does — and what it doesn’t
It does: mark the listing as claimed by the business, and give you an account at /manage where you can fix your phone number, website, street address and opening hours yourself, add a description in your own words, and put your own photos on the page. The password arrives in the approval email — check your spam folder if it does not turn up. Your address also becomes the one we take corrections from for anything the form cannot reach.
It doesn’t: change your ratings, reorder any list, remove reviews, or add a badge of approval. The figures on your page are Google’s, shown in full, and that stays true for claimed and unclaimed listings alike — it is the point of the site.
Every claim is reviewed by a person before anything changes, usually within a few business days. We’ll email you the outcome either way.
